DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The CIRA Dispute Resolution Policy is now in effect.
CIRA has established an alternative dispute resolution process for those seeking to obtain transfer or cancellation of dot-ca domain names registered in bad faith by other parties.

Independent service providers, appointed by CIRA to provide dispute resolution services, are responsible for administering CDRP proceedings.
As part of a proceeding, an independent service provider will appoint a panel responsible for reviewing material submitted by the parties and ruling on the transfer or cancellation of a domain name registration.
CIRA will abide by panel decisions and transfer or cancel domain name registrations, as permitted by the Registrant Agreement that all dot-ca domain name registrants enter into at the time of registration.
While a proceeding is underway, a domain name registration may not be
cancelled or transferred by the registrant.
People who wish to initiate a Complaint under section 3.7 (b) of the Policy
may obtain a list of the domain names registered to the registrant of the domain
name in dispute. See the procedures for obtaining domain names registered in the
